Sub-Slab Depressurization (SSD)

With SSD, we install a pipe in your home’s foundation floor slab, through which a fan draws in radon-containing soil gas from beneath the home, expelling it outdoors. This system further reduces the amount of radon gas drawn into a home by reversing the air pressure difference between the house and the soil.

Sub-Membrane Depressurization (SMD)

SMD is similar to active soil depressurization. However, this system is ideal for homes built over a crawlspace-style foundation. Rather than drilling through your home’s foundation floor slab (since there is none), we install a durable membrane, trapping the radon gas. Connected to this membrane is a pipe and fan, drawing in the radon gas and expelling it outdoors.
